Robert W. Nelson and Craig Johnson Push for the Pin Endowment Scholarships

Scholarship Guidelines

($1,000.00 toward CCIM Course)

The Robert Nelson Endowment Scholarship and the Craig Johnson Push for the Pin Endowment Scholarship were created to support qualified real estate professionals in their efforts to achieve the CCIM designation. Recipients should exemplify the high caliber of professionals that comprise the CCIM Institute, demonstrate current participation in the Chapter, and a willingness to participate in the Chapter’s ongoing well-being.

Scholarship Selection Criteria

  • Applicants should be able to demonstrate a commitment to a commercial real
    estate career (see application).
  • Applicant should be a member of the Oregon/SW Washington CCIM Chapter and
    show some level of participation.
  • Applicants must have completed CI 101.

Scholarship Value

Recipients will receive $1,000.00 each to offset the cost of one of the following CCIM designation courses: CI 102, CI 103, CI 104, Comprehensive Review Course, or Pin Exam. If the cost of the course is less than $1,000.00, the remainder is to be used to
cover travel expenses.

Procedure

Applications are submitted directly to the Oregon/SW Washington CCIM Chapter. The Chapter reserves the right to award the scholarship to an applicant of their choosing. Applications are reviewed by the Scholarship Committee and the Board of Directors.
Selection is a subjective process with weight given to applicants who actively participate in chapter activities, who are pushing to promptly finalize and receive their CCIM pin, and to those with chapter leadership potential. All selection decisions are final.

Recipient Notification

The recipient will be announced at the December Celebration Event.
